Setagayas Top Destroyers

We went to look for a phone for N8Balls after I finished work.
While we were riding around Shinjuku a rat decided to try and test me.
He learned how I roll.

Then we went to Carnival and hung out for a while giving each other shit,
which I can now (kind-of) do in Japanese. Then we went for a mega-roll.
3 hours later, it was deja-vu-city in about 10 different ways…

he unwittingly went to Carnival with some guy that’s a friend of Tommy.

Tokyo Straight Edge Crew

Saturday was fucked up (in a good way). Yukes new band Inside had their
first show, with Trash Talk. Turned out As We Let Go played too, so I got
to catch up with Shuhei, Daihei and Kengo and a guy from the UK called
Adam, that I met when Michaela was here. Turns out he used to be in a
band with Toku from FC5 and they played with Cleave!

The show started at midday and was done by 2pm. So, afterwards I dropped
into Carnival and my rims had miraculously appeared! I went home and got
my hubs, but I ran out of time to start working on them before I left for the
next show. Second show was pretty good, everyone was a bit fucked. The highlight
was a big Japanese guy picking Lee up and moshing the crowd with him.
Carnival again after that, where Tommy and I bailed to lace the wheels at his place.
We hit up Freshness Burger on the way back and I lived!

We very nearly got in a fight round the corner from Tommys. It was great.
Some guy felt an overwhelming racism or disgust for skateboarders and
decided to disgustedly spit on the ground as we rolled by. Bad Idea.
He did have the guts to look back a few times, but then we followed him
and he pussed out, while I pissed myself. Then Sensei schooled me…

It was good to get a better understanding and deceptively easy, in a hard way…

All together I ended up catching 18 trains that day too. Hideous.
So, obviously I was mega stoked and dying to ride so bad!

 

Yom Huledet!

So, yesterday I turned 26. Nothing special really, ate a Twin Pack
Cherry Ripe and a Bounty for breakfast, as you do. Then opened my presents
from the fam… some cool shit. Then I get a knock on my door… It’s Yoshie.
She drops this little nugget on me. Solid. Gold.

I wonder if this is what it’s like, to be a 18K jew…
